The purpose of the study was the standardization of a library skills test for Tacoma, a metropolitan school district of approximately 34,000 pupils in the State of Washington. The test was standardized on the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grade populations of the district using representative samples. Answers were sought to the following questions: (1) Is the library skills test appropriate for the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades in Tacoma? (2) Is the test appropriate for both boys and girls at these grade levels?

Statement of the problem: It was the purpose of this study to survey the work being done in drama in Tennessee high schools. Specifically, the study was to determine which dramas were being read and studied in English classes, what the general policies and practices relating to high school dramatic productions were, and what efforts, if any, were being made to extend the student's interest in drama beyond the classroom situtation. An effort was also made to access the attitude and opinions of teachers concerning the study of drama.

The demand for statistical typists and other clerical positions involving the typewriting of numbers is greater than ever before. It was the purpose of this study to determine, through a cinematographical analysis, if running on a treadmill produced a change in running style or form by-comparing eleven measurements including body lean, various angles of the extremities, length of stride, and. vertical body movement.

An investigation of the literature revealed that little had been done to analyze the true mechanics of running on a treadmill. There has been a large amount of research and experimentation using treadmills in universities and industry to produce a controlled situation for physiological and kinesiological studies.

In this study an attempt was made to statistically analyze the effects of using money as a reinforcer when teaching spelling to emotionally disturbed, socially maladjusted children. Equivalent forms of the California Achievement Tests and weekly spelling test scores during a four-week, non- reinforced period were compared with similar scores for a four-week, reinforced period.

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two methods of reinforcing learning gained from programmed material in seventh grade geography classes.
