The purpose of the study was the standardization of a library skills test for Tacoma, a metropolitan school district of approximately 34,000 pupils in the State of Washington. The test was standardized on the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grade populations of the district using representative samples. Answers were sought to the following questions: (1) Is the library skills test appropriate for the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades in Tacoma? (2) Is the test appropriate for both boys and girls at these grade levels?

Statement of the problem: It was the purpose of this study to survey the work being done in drama in Tennessee high schools. Specifically, the study was to determine which dramas were being read and studied in English classes, what the general policies and practices relating to high school dramatic productions were, and what efforts, if any, were being made to extend the student's interest in drama beyond the classroom situtation. It was the purpose of this study to determine, through a cinematographical analysis, if running on a treadmill produced a change in running style or form by-comparing eleven measurements including body lean, various angles of the extremities, length of stride, and. vertical body movement.

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two methods of reinforcing learning gained from programmed material in seventh grade geography classes. The means used for evaluating effectiveness were: (1) comparing retention of the factual knowledge of the material by students exposed to the two methods immediately after completing the material, and, after a time lapse of six months, and (2) comparing the ability of students to transfer their factual knowledge of the material immediately after completing the material, and, after a time lapse of six months.
