The purpose of this study was not to determine all those attitudes which affect a student’s decision to remain in or leave the college. It was rather to survey the attitudes and opinions of the members of a group which had already left the college before completion of their studies insofar as Central Washington College was concerned. Three factors were determined on the basis of their proximity to the lives of the students and their concomitant effect on the attitudes of those students.

The purpose of this study was to establish a program that would enable Pasco High School students to more adequately make use or noon-hour leisure and to facilitate their wiser use of leisure time in the future. This study records the history of The Four-State Conference on Industrial Arts and Vocational Education, first organized in January, 1938. All meetings of the conference have taken place at Kansas State Teachers College, Pittsburg, Kansas. The conference met four times prior to World War II and has met eight times after World War II at the time of this study. The problem was to determine a systematic way to evaluate industrial arts drafting textbooks in selected areas. This study uses basic background material and proposes criteria for adoption of drafting textbooks in industrial arts education. The two major devices used in developing criteria were content analysis and objectives of industrial arts. This instrument is not complicated and may be learned easily, making it useful as an aid to select drafting textbooks. It also lends itself to the selection of supplementary textbooks.

This study was planned to determine the requirements for the baccalaureate degree in industrial arts education in several teacher training institutions in the United States, to discover in what ways they were similar and how they differed. Data for this study were obtained through perusal of the catalogs of the institutions considered. The survey revealed wide differences in the various requirements. Total requirements for the degree and education were the only items in which the school requiring the maximum number of hours did not require more than double the number of hours required by the school with the minimum requirements. …

It is the purpose of this study (1) to compare physical achievement scores of seventh, eighth, and ninth grade boys; (2) to compare physical achievement scores of the athletes and non-athletes in the eighth and ninth grades; and (3) to determine which events, if any, can be used to predict athletic performance.
This study is important to physical educators working with junior high school boys. There is a need for adequate measurement of progress in physical achievement and also a need for ways in which instructors might predict athletic ability at this age level.

Often expressed claims which amounted to a general belief among many of the administrators of the schools of Carbon County were the stimulus for this study. The claims generally expressed were that the Mexican-Indian students of the schools did not have as good ability, did not achieve as well, were poorer attenders, caused a larger amount of difficulty and delinquency and did not adjust to the school society as well proportionately as their co-students of other nationalities.
