Mentoring For Women In Intercollegiate Athletic Administration, Laura Lynn Stephey

Members of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators were surveyed about their mentoring relationships with both male and female mentors. Their preferences and actual received functions were assessed to see if their expectations differed from their actual experiences, as well as the functions, barriers and outcomes experienced with respect to the gender of the mentor. The results of the t-test for the expectations and the actual experiences revealed that six of nine functions were significantly different, with the actual functions provided falling short of preferences. Quilting is a reflection of women's roles in the family. What happened to quilting between 1940 and 1970 is important to examine because it tells us much about the transformation of women from producers to consumers. In the twentieth century, quilts were increasingly replaced by mass produced blankets. While quilting literature has argued that quilting, for all practical purposes, ceased between 1940 and 1970, women resisted the change to consumerism by continuing to produce quilts and negotiating their use of mass production; The portrayal of quilting in magazines shifted from an integral role as thrifty and decorative to being almost …

This paper presents a computer controlled stereoscopic vision system that will profile the contour and shape of the bottom of the human foot in its natural weight bearing position. The design will have no moving parts and will be restricted to an error of no more than {dollar}\pm{dollar}1 mm; Stereoscopic vision was chosen as the solution to profiling mainly because its use for this purpose is well documented.
