The method used may be termed a laboratory one since the writing of composition was done in a laboratory situation. The purpose of this study was twofold: to formulate an aerospace education handbook providing pertinent information and material which may be woven into existing sixth grade courses in the elementary curriculum and to make a careful evaluation of one aerospace program in a sixth grade classroom. The problems were: (1) selection and organization of appropriate information and material for the handbook; (2) determining suggested teaching procedures and activities; and (3) preparation and administration of evaluative instruments for the program.

The purpose of this study is to survey former students of East Valley High School (formerly Moxee Consolidated High School) who terminated their education prior to graduation during the school years 1956-1957 to 1959-1960 inclusive in order to determine the reasons for their withdrawal. It is hoped that this information will be used by school personnel to plan a better educational program. If this study should indicate some shortcomings within the school, recommendations for an improved guidance program and/or curriculum changes could prove profitable to the students, the Moxee School District, the community, and society.

For the purpose of this experiment the problem was defined as follows: graduate students at CWCE consist, in the main, of public school teachers and administrators. Their scores in the Cooperative English Test ranked them in the lower third compared with college seniors in representative teachers’ colleges in this country. It was determined that a means should be devised to find out if these test results were acceptable as conclusive evidence of ability.
