Evaluation of Educational Policy and Reform Programs
The Study on Teacher Absenteeism is a large-scale research project for the Republic of Indonesia Education Sector Analytical and Capacity Development Partnership (ACDP).The key objective of the study is to provide reliable, valid, nationally representative, and up-to-date information on the rates and determinants of teacher absenteeism in Indonesian primary and junior secondary schools. In addition, the study examines how schools are dealing with teacher absence and assesses the impact of teacher absenteeism on students. Finally, policies and programs already in place are analysed in order to ascertain the extent they are related to teacher attendance in schools and classrooms and …

The use of contingent faculty in higher education in the United States has grown tremendously over the past three decades. In 1975, only 30.2 percent of faculty were employed part time; by 2005, according to data compiled by the AAUP from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), part-time faculty represented approximately 48 percent of all faculty members in the United States.
Despite the widespread perception that part-time faculty are exploited, underpaid, and afforded miserable working terms and conditions, efforts to organize and unionize contingent faculty have had only limited success. According to the 2004 National Study of Postsecondary Faculty, …

Ec94-807 A Measure Of Agribusiness On Nebraska's Economy, R.G. Taylor, Charles Lamphear, Karl H. Nelson
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension: Historical Materials
In 1990, agribusiness in Nebraska sold over $14.9 billion in goods and services, employed over 121,000 workers, paid an estimate $3.6 billion in wages and salaries and contributed $4.5 billion to value added. Moreover, agribusiness' total direct and indirect contribution to Nebraska's economy in 1990 was close to 250,000 jobs, with an estimated payroll of nearly $6 billion. This extension circular discusses the contributions that agribusiness has made to the Nebraska economy.
