Whereas, it is extremely important for the College Community to recognize the academic achievement of students, and Whereas, one of the few times that this type of recognition occurs is at the College Honors Convocation each year, Be it resolved that it shall be college policy that classes shall not meet during the Honors Convocation.

College Senate Resolutions

Whereas the Organization of Students of African Descent (OSAD) has expressed it concerns regarding alleged discriminatory treatment of minority students by college administrators, administrative bodies, and fellow students, Whereas this organization presented its concerns to the Faculty of the Department of Social Wrok at a faculty meeting on Wednesday, February 20, 1980, Be It Resolved that the Faculty Senate investigate and evaluate the alleged recent discriminatory practices on campus, work toward redressing any actual wrongs which are discovered and take steps for prevention of future threats to racial harmony in the college community.
