Evaluation Of Gifted Programs: Current Practices, Scott L. Hunsaker, C. M. Callahan

A brief narrative description of the journal article, document, or resource. Review of solicited gifted program evaluation reports and the literature found a relative paucity of such reports as well as a lack of methodological sophistication, reporting, and utility concerns. Promising practices were seen in some evaluations conducted for program improvement, which employed multiple methodologies, sources, analysis techniques, and reporting formats. (DB)

Preparation Of Early Intervention Personnel In A Rural State, S. Rule, Barbara J. Fiechtl, L. Huntington

Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling Faculty Publications

There is a critical need to prepare early-intervention personnel resulting from the passage of the Education of the Handicapped Act Amendments of 1986. This paper presents the results of a survey of service providers regarding the competencies they considered essential to serve young children with disabilities. It also describes the organization of a program to prepare personnel in a rural state where persons who need preparation may not have access to on-campus training.

Clothes are an essential necessity for all of us. The first thing we do in the morning for school, work, and other activities is get dressed. Getting dressed may be a major frustration if the clothes in our closet don't take care of our lifestyle needs. Mornings can easily begin in turmoil when we can't find the right thing to wear. Our clothing decisions are dependent on our own lifestyle, personality, values, coloring, and body proportions. It is difficult for another person to determine what our individual clothing needs are.
