Law Of Cosines Using Geometer`S Sketchpad, Sandy Mcgreevy May 2008

Law Of Cosines Using Geometer`S Sketchpad, Sandy Mcgreevy

Lesson Plans

By the end of the lab, students should be able to verify the Law of Cosines using actual field calculations off a GPS and modeling using Geometer’s sketch pad.

Algebra Balance Scales, Kevin Westrich May 2008

Algebra Balance Scales, Kevin Westrich

Lesson Plans

Students will use models to visualize what is actually happening when you go through the steps of solving a linear equation using algebra.

Visualizing Correlations Using Ti Graphing Calculators, Brian Dinitto May 2008

Visualizing Correlations Using Ti Graphing Calculators, Brian Dinitto

Lesson Plans

I will use the scatter plot abilities of the graphing calculator to visualize correlations, and how they can be modeled with a linear equation.

Algebra, Geometry, Prepare For Math A Exam, Patty Herrman May 2008

Algebra, Geometry, Prepare For Math A Exam, Patty Herrman

Lesson Plans

The student will be able to solve systems of linear and linear quadratic equations by graphing.

Graphing Linear Equations Using Ti-Calculator, Dave Iacchetta May 2008

Graphing Linear Equations Using Ti-Calculator, Dave Iacchetta

Lesson Plans

My objective is to have students graph linear equations and determine if there is a solution to the system, in a variety of ways, in real time.

Probability- 50/50 Chance, Christopher Sheffer Apr 2008

Probability- 50/50 Chance, Christopher Sheffer

Lesson Plans

Students will be directed to the probability simulation - tossing coins and observing the outcome.

Probability Using Ti Calculators, Beverly Lawson Apr 2008

Probability Using Ti Calculators, Beverly Lawson

Lesson Plans

Upon completion of this lesson, students:

• Will understand and apply basic concepts of probability

• Will understand and use appropriate terminology to describe events

• Will use probability to make and test conjectures about the results of experiments and simulations

Probability, Moneith Burney Apr 2008

Probability, Moneith Burney

Lesson Plans

Students will be able to solve probability problems and graph histogram.

Momentum And Motion, Christopher Sheffer Apr 2008

Momentum And Motion, Christopher Sheffer

Lesson Plans

Students will be able to calculate momentum using mass and velocity of an object. Students will demonstrate the conservation of momentum using the provided model.

System Of Linear Equations, Courtney Bruyea Apr 2008

System Of Linear Equations, Courtney Bruyea

Lesson Plans

Students will solve systems of equations by graphing. Through using the graphing calculator students will be able to visually see how linear equations cross to create a solution to a system of equations. The students will also learn how to trace and calculate the solution to the system using the graphing calculator as well.

Using The Graphing Calculator To Compute Probability, Courtney Bruyea, Patty Herrman, Sarah Laiosa Apr 2008

Using The Graphing Calculator To Compute Probability, Courtney Bruyea, Patty Herrman, Sarah Laiosa

Lesson Plans

Students will integrate probability through Math and genetics using Punnett Squares. Students will manipulate a probability trail with the Graphing Calculator application of a probability simulator using marbles. Students will connect marbles with homozygous and heterozygous genes. Students will communicate their trials in fraction and percentage form. Students will then manipulate Agent Sheets to understand how Punnett Squares determine Homozygous and Heterozygous genetic trait probabilities.

Probability Estimation Using Agentsheets, Stephen Ezell Mar 2008

Probability Estimation Using Agentsheets, Stephen Ezell

Lesson Plans

Modeling will be used to gain knowledge of probability and how it can be used to predict outcomes. Students will use agent sheets and a program that was written together with the teacher and other students to see the affects of probability. Also how probability can be written as a percentage.

Quadratics Using Ti Calculator, Samuel Simpson Mar 2008

Quadratics Using Ti Calculator, Samuel Simpson

Lesson Plans

Objectives: Graph linear equations using a graphing calculator. Observe the effects of opposite coefficients and adding a constant to y = ax. Complete tables and answer questions using equations, tables, and graphs.

How Cells Obtain And Use Glucose Modeled With Agentsheets, Suzanne Wade

Lesson Plans

The Living Environment curriculum requires students to know how the cell membrane functions as a selectively permeable membrane It will allow certain substances to diffuse across while keeping others out. The substances are then to be used inside the cell. The cell also creates waste products that must be eliminated. Students need to know where inside the cell certain substance are used and/or produced. The problem chosen for this project involves glucose and oxygen that must enter the cell by crossing the cell membrane via appropriate parts of the cell membrane and then the cell must process the glucose ...
