Ouachita Baptist University’s Department of Visual Arts will host seniors Kinzie Schmidt, Miranda Hudleston and Zhanxiu Lu as they showcase their senior art exhibits. At each of these exhibits, admission is free and open to the public. Schmidt’s exhibit will run March 27-April 5; Hudleston’s will run March 26-30; and Lu’s exhibit will run April 3-9.

Ouachita And Henderson To Co-Host “What Were You Wearing?” Sexual Assault Survivor Art Exhibit April 2-20, Sarah Davis, Ouachita News Bureau

Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University will simultaneously host the traveling art exhibit, “What Were You Wearing?” The exhibit, which will be located in the McClellan Rotunda at Ouachita and on the first floor of Huie Library at Henderson, will run from April 2-20 for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. An opening reception will be held Tuesday, April 3, from 4-6 p.m. at the Captain Henderson House. The survivor art installation is free and open to the public, and viewers are cautioned that some may find the exhibit’s content disturbing.

Background. Given the widespread popularity of video gameplay among adolescents, it is important to understand the relationship between video gameplay and adolescent behaviors in various contexts.

Aim. This exploratory study aimed to explore adolescent gamers use of player guides and cheat codes during video gameplay in order to understand how they reason about the relationship between cheating in video games and cheating in academic settings.

Method. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with adolescents in order to gain in-depth insight into participants’ perspectives on video gameplay and their perceptions of cheating in video games and academic settings. Interview data was coded and …

With decreasing budgets and increasing political tensions, universities in the United States are embracing broader and more creative efforts to reach prospective international students. For such universities, international students are a lucrative recruitment population because they bolster enrollment numbers and tuition revenue while diversifying student bodies. Previous studies have shown that much university marketing to international students is deficient and of little use in helping prospective students make informed decisions (Baldwin & James, 2000), yet information search is a key element of buyer decision models (Beatty & Smith, 1987) as students evaluate educational options.
