Members of the Ouachita Baptist University Board of Trustees addressed a number of issues during their quarterly board meeting held Dec. 8 on the Ouachita campus. Major items of business included authorizing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and approving the exterior design and budget for renovations to Berry Bible Building and the addition of the Horne Center for Biblical Preaching.

Addressing a variety of issues related to the priorities of advancing, resourcing and supporting the university mission, Ouachita Baptist University’s Board of Trustees met Sept. 8 on the university’s Arkadelphia campus for their quarterly board meeting.

Focusing on the university’s future growth and impact, Ouachita President Ben Sells led trustees in addressing their initial input in the university’s strategic planning process by discussing what should not change and what should change about Ouachita. Ouachita Trustees Hear Updates On Presidential Search And New Degrees, Name Two Emeriti Faculty Members, Trennis Henderson

Sharing an update on Ouachita Baptist University’s presidential search process, search committee chairman Gene Whisenhunt told members of Ouachita’s Board of Trustees that the committee “is diligently seeking the right leader for this university at this time.”

In other board business, trustees heard a report about four new degree programs being introduced this fall and approved several personnel-related actions, including naming two emeriti faculty.
