One of the measures which used to calculate the scholarly collaboration of countries and organizations is co-authorship. Co-authorship is a process in which two or more authors/researchers collaborate with each other to create a joint work via collaboration channels and methods. Although many studies have been considered individual or domain co-authorships, but the organizational aspect of this type of collaboration has attracted less attention. Interest in integrative health care is a growing area of health practice, combining conventional medical treatments with safe and effective complementary and alternative medicine. These modalities relate to both improving physical and psychological well-being, and enhancing conventional talk therapy. In an interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching and library faculty have created a series of sixteen on-line video interviews that introduce practitioner-relevant experiences to students as supplemental course material. In 2009 DePaul University’s College of Computing and Digital Media (DePaul CDM) discovered a significant lag in undergraduate retention rates as well as four, five and six-year graduation rates as compared to other major colleges at the university. DePaul CDM’s investment in online student service resources had over time caused the unintentional reinvention of the college advising office into one that supported a very limited number of students, focusing primarily on students either in academic distress or students nearing graduation.

Many information technology educators have worked in recent years to develop courses to attract students to the field. As faculty achieve success with technical courses designed to be appeal to a broad audience, it can be hard to maintain the initial excitement particularly as multiple sections of the courses are taught on a continuing basis. In this article we describe a project that added peer evaluation to an assessment in a game design course with a large non-major audience. The paper x-rays the extent of automation in South East Nigerian libraries. Ex-post-factor research method was adopted for the study involving the study of 35 libraries in the South Eastern geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The study revealed that out of six public and five ministries of Education /Information libraries, none is automated. It also revealed that out of the 24 academic libraries, only two are automated. Based on the findings it is recommended that: all the three tiers of government should automate their government departmental libraries to ensure efficient storage, retrieval and dissemination of government information; state and federal governments …

This presentation will discuss the results of a rubric based assessment created for a library instruction program that is designed to meet the needs of all incoming students at Clemson University. After attending the ACRL Immersion program Assessment Track, the instruction Coordinator for this institution returned with fresh ideas about assessment and she will share with participants the basic layout of the instruction provided and the thought process behind the creation of the assessment. Why should students spend time navigating to find the library tools needed to search? Why not provide direct links to library resources so more time is spent finding, evaluating, and synthesizing information? These were questions asked by some academic librarians trying to help students locate resources for assignments. As a result, these academic librarians created online tutorials for using persistent links to library resources. Teaching faculty learned how to use the links in web pages and WebCT Vista. This study explores an online information literacy module that uses problem-based learning (PBL). The goal was to enable students to experience information literacy in a richer way, by moving away from a focus on locating information sources to one of information use in the construction of knowledge. A content analysis of the research journals and reflection papers of students (N = 15) in a distance education school library media administration endorsement program suggests that PBL was an effective approach for some students, but not others. Every academic year, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), rolls out frightening number of candidates desiring to enter Nigerian universities.
