This article explores the new partnership between the United States and Africa in the beginning of the 21st century. It examines the types of political, economic and social endeavors that the two entities have undertaken and promise to undertake in the years and decades to come. It also shows that this new policy of the United States towards Africa goes beyond political parties (Democrats and Republicans), which is why many people across the world have been surprised to see a Republican president and government showing support for these new ties with Africa.
