Study abroad is recognized as a valuable and increasingly essential aspect of higher education in America. Yet, for all the positive attention and high-profile initiatives aimed at expanding participation, the percentage of U.S. undergraduate who studies abroad remains small. Developing a better understanding of the factors that contribute to or hinder study abroad participation is critical to expanding participation. Nursing, without a doubt, is one of the most popular programs at the community colleges today. If predictions are correct, there will be shortages in this field approaching a possible crisis situation. While community colleges educate 60% ofthe registered nurses and 63% of the allied health workers, it is not enough. Our colleges are faced with faculty shortages, a lack of clinical training sites, skyrocketing programs costs, regulations and compliances that they must fulfill, and to top all of this, students enroll at rates far exceeding their ability to accommodate. Researching Students With Disabilities: The Importance Of Critical Perspectives, Annemarie Vaccaro, Ezekiel Kimball, Ryan S. Wells, Benjamin J. Ostiguy-Finneran

In this chapter, the authors critically review the current state of quantitative research on college students with disabilities and examine the exclusion of this marginalized population from much of our research. They propose ways to conduct research that more fully accounts for this diverse and important college population. The authors argue that critical quantitative research will produce more thorough knowledge and, in turn, policies and practices that will lead to more equitable college outcomes for students with disabilities.

The miexample.do file includes Stata code illustrating implementation of the recommended multiple imputation (MI) reporting practices from the article "Reporting the use of multiple imputation for missing data in higher education research," Research in Higher Education, doi: 10.1007/s11162-014-9344-9. After a brief description of the example used in the code (which uses a publicly available, downloadable dataset), a sample paragraph offers possible text for writing up results using MI to handle missing data in this example.
