Report On Supplementary Esl Reading Course, David B. Hopkins

Since it was intended to be a supplement to the regular classes of these students, every effort was made to allow the course direction to develop according to the needs of the participants. Although the original thrust of the program was to focus upon reading attitudes, utilizing the reading interests of the students, a parallel focus on reading skills evolved. Learning English As A Second Language Through Exploring Prenumerical And Numerical Concepts, Maria Angeles Barrero
MA TESOL Collection
The purpose of this project is to present some lesson plans for teachers of English as a second language (ESL) to children in the first years of school to show the potential of numerical concepts to teach ESL. Hopefully reading or looking at the samples in creating units in ESL with numbers as a content matter can give teachers ideas about how to create their own lesson plans using this or different content matter. The project includes a study of the Instructional and Performance Objectives, Teaching Techniques, Visual Aids, as well as Number and Language Games, among other topics.
