The problem of this study was to investigate and to compare the economic costs and benefits as well as the noneconomic benefits of the graduates from the cooperative and in-school instructional methods of selected programs in vocational industrial education at the secondary level in Taiwan, The Republic of China. A longitudinal cohort survey was conducted. A questionnaire was developed through a review of literature and on the basis of the researcher's past working experience in vocational education in Taiwan.
