In order to understand the distance education learning experience of those individual and collective participants (remote site students, origination site students, and faculty), using Bronfenbrenner's human bioecological theory as a base, I sought answers to the question "What impact does a distance learning environment have on both students and faculty?" Methods I used to gather data included small group interviews and individual in-depth interviews with both students and faculty.
