The purpose of the study was to cross-validate the prediction portion of the Career Path Model developed by Sweeney (1987). The Career Path Model was used to predict the One Year Career Path and Five Year Career Path groups of ISU teacher education graduates;The sample of 1981/1982 academic year graduates (N = 154) was treated as the cross-validation sample, while the sample from Sweeney's study, 1980/1981 academic year graduates (N = 246) served as the development sample;The results of the cross-validating discriminant analysis procedure indicated that in One Year Career Path groups, the set of discriminators from ...
