Under The Umbrella: Strategies For Working With Asd Students, Shannon Elise Hallisy

A literature review was conducted to examine the various strategies that have been implemented with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Interventions were identified and examine regarding their effectiveness with these individuals. Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research studies from several different countries were included, in order to provide a global perspective. The main areas that were examined were academically-focused interventions, behavioral and social interventions, student perceptions, and teacher-focused studies.
