The Purpose. The purpose of this study was to define the organizational and operational structures of four year state university related foundations. An additional purpose was to compile a listing of all four year state university related foundations in the United States.

The study has three major purposes: (a) to focus on the issue of parity of coaches' salaries for male and female athletic teams, (b) to clarify the existence of supplemental salary schedule differences, and (c) to determine the criteria that are most important in describing differences in coaching salaries.
