This project explores the effects that meditation and mindfulness practices have on elementary students in crisis. Changing the old methods used during the Time Away period, students will have the opportunity to utilize, explore, and take new risks while they experience the innovative opportunities to help cope with their stress and anxiety. The stressors that occur in school or in their personal life affect their performances and quality of life in school. The ultimate outcome from integrating new therapeutic methods is for student to use creative thinking to help create positive behavioral outcomes.

What to know before working with English as a New Language students. In the current immigration status, immigrants are not only relocating to major cities in the United States they are locating to small and rural areas as well. School districts are now experiencing an increase of students who do not speak English are enrolling in their schools. Educators are not sufficiently prepared in teacher preparation course to instruct the English as a New Language Students. The survey shows items to consider.

This project uses an action research centered study protocol to examine the effects of a problem-based learning exercise related to bloodstain pattern interpretation in a crime scene processing and general criminalistics class taught as part of an upper division forensic chemistry major in a four year college.
