Public relations is not a new term. It is, however, becoming more popular and necessary in the modern concept of school activities. Public relations pertains to the whole school system, but this study will deal only with public relations as it affects the industrial arts program of the school. Because industrial arts is a relatively new addition to the school curriculum, and because the par-pupil cost is generally higher than that for other subjects, the value of the program must be defended and publicized.
