A brief narrative description of the journal article, document, or resource. This article examines the beliefs of a variety of cultures concerning the sources of the gifts of exceptional individuals. These include Western African cultures, Egyptian culture, Greco-Roman culture, Semitic culture, Chinese culture, Meso-American culture, and European Renaissance culture.
