The use of Portfolios and ePortfolios in HE signifies a potential move towards a self-directed, student centred approach to learning and assessment through processes such as personal development planning, reflection and negotiation of evidence of learning. New and emergent technologies can now provide a diverse range of opportunities to represent, store and present different kinds of knowledge within a dynamic multimedia environment.
