Rapid e-learning programs such as Articulate Storyline make it possible to develop highly interactive sharable content object reference model (SCORM) packages without advanced programming knowledge. These SCORM packages can be loaded into most learning management systems (LMS) and allow librarians to better gauge students' information literacy competency and create flipped instruction opportunities to allow for better use of valuable in-class time. Educators are amongst a population at risk for exposure to secondary trauma because they have contact with young adults who may have or currently experiencing hardships such as mental health issues, relationship abuse, or financial insecurity. However, despite the vulnerability of educators to secondary trauma, little research has focused on this population or preventative techniques that might mitigate the effects of secondary trauma to educators. A faculty cohort was selected to identify levels of exposure and coping strategies used to navigate classroom and one and one interactions with students.
