This thesis describes the capstone project which was a psychoeducation and experiential workshop for fitness trainers. The workshop investigated the impact trainers’ work may have on the body image of their clients through a dance/movement therapy (DMT) technique. The aim was to enhance the trainers’ sensitivity around body image issues of their clients and to create a space for vulnerable movement conversation that may in turn lead to better mental health advocacy for their clients within the scope of ethical practice. The Ability To Assess The Degree Of Development Of Coordination Abilities In Students Of Grades 7-9 With The Help Of Special Tests, Dilfuza Abidovna Solieva

Eurasian Journal of Sport Science

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to modify some tests conducted to assess the coordination of movements, and to determine their objectivity on the example of students in grades 7-9. In this article, using modified assessment tests of growth dynamics in traditional classes, the explosive force and variable speed of movement (running) as part of the coordination abilities of students in grades 7-9 studying in a comprehensive school are analyzed.

Mechanisms Of Improving The Motor Activity Of Children Aged 6-7 Years Through Initial Gymnastics Classes, Gulhayo Kholboevna Kholboeva

Eurasian Journal of Sport Science

Purpose: Development of motor activity, physical fitness of children by means of rhythmic exercises based on initial gymnastics.

Methods: in the study we used the following methods: pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, heart rate monitoring, somatoscopy, mathematical statistics.

Results: As a result of the study, it was found that in children 6-7 years old, on the basis of rhythmic exercises based on initial gymnastics, motor activity increases by 11.4%, and physical fitness-by 11.32%. After the experiment, changes in the statistical reliability of the test results were revealed (p<0.05 and higher, 847 ±0.9, tct =1.55).

Oneida college lacrosse players have an important perspective on the sacred game of lacrosse that needs to be heard. The Oneida are one of six tribes of the Haudenosaunee, or also known as, the Iroquois. Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the style played today is most similar to the Haudenosaunee style. Oneidas are traditionally orators and lacrosse players. How Has The Covid-19 Pandemic Changed The Well-Being And Athletic Identity Of Collegiate Student-Athletes?, Malissa Leclaire

Leadership Education Capstones

This qualitative study explored the changes that collegiate student-athletes have experienced in their well-being and athletic identity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted through individual interviews. Participants indicated changes in their well-being that they experienced included: (1) uncertainty, (2) limited social interactions, and (3) maintenance of physical health. Participants also indicated that the changes they experienced in their athletic identities included: (1) a stronger athletic identity, and (2) the transition out of athletics. Recommendations for future research include expanding the study to a larger sample size and examining the psychological effects the student-athletes experienced from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The purpose of this study is to help female student-athletes build better relationships with coaching staff through improved ways of communication. Relationships between female student-athletes and coaching staff are one of the most important within an athletics team. Using a qualitative design including one on one interviews and surveys, some themes that emerged were being honest consistently, gender of coaching staff does have some effect on topics shared between female student-athletes and coaching staff and the different challenges building relationships with the student athletes female coach and male coach.
