As the world changed with COVID-19, as did the future following it for workers in all fields. Working remotely has become a routine for many employees. Technology has allowed organizations to expand where employees work. Healthcare workers who were not on the front lines are now working remotely, including workers in finance. The research design was a qualitative study. The data obtained from this research focused on major themes of urban healthcare finance remote workers' challenges and what strategies can be implemented to increase job satisfaction overall. An Examination Of Faculty And Staff Collaboration And Relationships In Higher Education, Jennifer Syno, Juliann S. Mcbrayer, Daniel W. Calhoun, Cordelia Zinskie, Katherine Fallon

Georgia Journal of College Student Affairs

Collaboration between academic and student affairs professionals is an important means of increasing student success; however, historical divides between these units have made implementation of these efforts challenging. This quantitative study sought to evaluate the perceptions of faculty and student affairs staff towards collaborative efforts and toward one another within a single campus of a comprehensive regional university within the southeast. Findings show that while both faculty and staff value collaborations and believe they positively impact student success, these units do not experience equitable voice and responsibility within collaborative efforts when conducted. Student behavioral issues lead to lost learning opportunities by the student misbehaving

and the students trying to learn (Gage, Grasley-Boy, George, Childs, and Kincaid, 2018), a punitive approach of suspensions and expulsions is never in the best interest of these students. Staff members need a behavior model that is proactive and consistent. Many schools have implemented SWPBIS (School Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) programs as a preventative way to decrease suspensions and increase morale. The Impacts Of Delayed Starts In Maine Schools, Tim Tweedie

The purpose of this mixed methods study was to investigate the benefits and challenges associated with delayed starts in Maine high schools. In the past few years, several school districts in the midcoast-southern region of the state have elected to delay their high school start times for the purposes of allowing students more sleep. Across the five districts, administrators reported benefits to the delayed starts, and teachers reported more mixed results. In comparing between the five districts, the alignment patterns varied considerably.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore motivational strategies that can be used to increase faculty and staff’s motivation in a small private Montessori school, located in New Jersey. Ten members of the faculty and staff participated in this action research project over the course of six weeks. Pre-data collection included an online motivational quiz that identified each faculty and staff member’s top three motivators. Short term goals were created by the participant with the administrator in a pre-conference based on the motivator results of each individual’s pre-test. An Exploration Of Communication Perceptions Between Elementary School Staff And The Parents Of The Children They Serve, Cynthia Gardner

The purpose of this quantitative research study was to explore the perceived school communication between elementary school staff and the parents of the children they serve. Staff members and parents, from a central Florida public school district, in both Title I and Non-Title I schools completed an online survey regarding (1) timely school communication, (2) school's website being informative and easy to use, and (3) staff members knowing what is going on in schools. Researchers have long explored the importance of family involvement in children's academic success, communication between home and school is an important link in the process. The …
