The purpose of this study is to determine if there is any significant difference in spelling achievement on a fifth-grade level between an experimental group using a functional-recognition approach to weekly spelling lists for a period of four weeks, as compared with a control group which does not apply the functional-recognition approach, but which has equal time for study and writing.

The university presidents, as chief administrators of a complex institution, must deal with a variety of problems: buildings, money, organization, legal provisions, educational programs, and people. Campbell points out that school administration also deals with the values, beliefs, and feelings of people.
