All Master's Theses

The purpose of this paper is to describe, explain and conclude a series of experiments in search of the development of a clay body that would have the characteristics of: (1) vitrifying at Cone 4, yet be refractory enough to withstand the heat; and (2) being plastic so that is works well on the wheel. Additional study involved the experimentation of glazes on the clay bodies with the hopes of finding some to fit.
