As cooperative private international dispute resolution practices become increasingly common, it is tempting for conflict practitioners to assume that the human relations insights, skills, and practices that worked well for them at home will be equally effective (and appropriate) in an international, cross-cultural environment. Attending to the human dimension of conflict and interaction should be a central part of global negotiation and dispute resolution practice.

On June 1, 2014, the AICPA issued a codification of the principles, rules, and interpretations and rulings in the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (Revised Code) that specifies which ethics provisions apply to members in public practice, members in business, and other members. A major improvement of the revised code is the creation of three sections, each for members in a different area of practice, to assist accounting professionals in each group to determine whether they are in violation of any of the rules of conduct.
