On the 31st July 2015, and according to fi gures published by the World Federation of Exchanges, the size of the Australian domestic equity market capitalization (companies admitt ed to listing only) was US$1.23 trillion, which is 1.96% of the global domestic equity market capitalization of US$62.8 trillion. On the other hand, the global Islamic fi nance industry assets in 28 diff erent jurisdictions were estimated to be worth US$1.85 trillion or 2.95% of the global domestic market capitalization.

Australia has one of the most efficient and competitive 'full service' financial sectors in the Asia Pacific region and is situated close to the fastest-growing region in the world. Purpose: This paper explores the Dave Ramsey financial planning phenomenon (comprising his syndicated Radio Programs; Books on the New York Times Bestseller List; Twitter and Facebook presence; Program of Live events and seminars) and considers whether this financial planning phenomena meets the criteria set out by Godin (2008, 13) for a "tribe" and by Foucault (1977) for a "disciplinary Institution".

Authentic learning has been shown to help connect students’ classroom learning to the outside world. This study reports the results of a survey among 80 CFOs in Kuwaitilisted firms on current corporate finance practices namely, capitalbudgeting, costs of capital, capital structure, and dividend policy.This paper analyses specifically the survey responses according tothe firm s attributes and CFO s characteristics such as firm size,sector, equity, CFO s education, ownership, tenure, age, and targetdebt ratio. The results of this survey-based analysis indicate thatthere is some evidence of the application of basic corporate financetools that are inline with what is taught in classrooms.
