Vision And Mission–Part 2: Christ, Spirituality, And The Emerging Remnant Church, Fernando L. Canale

Journal of the Adventist Theological Society

"In this article we continue our journey exploring the direct connection that exists between vision and everyday life by (1) considering what it means to live out the vision spiritually and the difference its various interpretations have on the spiritual and missionary life of the church. Paul demonstrates this theology and this mission by getting as close as possible to people in order to save them for Christ. He says: “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some” (1 Cor. 9:22). This is the …

“They Will Be Like Angels.” Paradise Without Marriage?, Rene Gehring

Journal of the Adventist Theological Society

"This article deals with Jesus’ statement that “in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven” (Matt 22:30; Mark 12:25; cf. Luke 20:34-36) and a possible biblical rationale for the abolishment of this originally Edenic institution in the new paradise."
