This research examines the phenomenon of Stopping and Starting and their effect in guiding the meanings of the Holy Quran. I started with an introduction that defines the Stopping, and shows its importance in the clarification of the meanings. Then I spoke about how our scholars took special care while studying the Stopping. Then talked about when the reader ignores the rules of Stopping and Starting (or the so-called Unfavorable Stopping), and its effect in misleading the listener into understanding the wrong meaning.
