For hundreds of years, Christianity has made a huge impact on Latin America with at least 90% of people claiming to be part of one of its various denominations. This impact can be seen even in minority communities like the Deaf community. Historically, many churches had a tendency to shun the Deaf population due to the idea of the individual or family sinning greatly.
