Among others, he informs Cameron of his job in U.S. Armory; theft of one thousand dollars by a former Brother Spooner of Hampden Lodge (Masonic?) in Springfield Massachusetts; and relates his interest in the completion of the Trans-Atlantic Cable.

Envelope included postmarked March 27, August, Ga. and addressed "A. F. Cameron, No. 3 James St., Springfield, Mass." Envelope includes a printed return address "U.S. Arsenal Augusta, Georgia" with the phrase "Official Business" crossed out.
