spring, 1991 JOHN MUIR MONOGRAPH TO APPEAR The John Muir Center for Regional Studies has completed its work on the papers presented in April, 1990, to the California History Institute on John Muir's life and work. The edited papers are now in the hands of a major publisher. The eventual volume will contain an introduction, fifteen separate essays, and an appendix. The book will be divided into six sections, each of which will focus on a different aspect of Muir's life and work.
