This report summarizes the results of a cultural resources survey by Gray & Pape, Inc., on behalf of their client, BIO-WEST, Inc., of six workspaces within four discontiguous locations along Big Creek in Fort Bend County, Texas totaling 6.1 hectares (15.1 acres) and approximately 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) in length. The Big Creek Channel Repair Project calls for bank stabilization efforts at each of the four locations. This report summarizes the results of a cultural resources survey by Gray & Pape, Inc. of an approximately 14.8-hectare (36.6-acre) property in Fort Bend County, Texas, planned for a bank stabilization project on behalf of their client, Berg-Oliver Associates, Inc. The goals of the survey were to determine if the proposed project would affect any previously identified archaeological sites as defined by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (36 CFR 800), and to establish whether or not previously unidentified buried archaeological resources were located within the project’s Area of Potential Effect. Gray & Pape, Inc., of Houston, Texas, under contract with BIO-WEST, Inc., has prepared the following report on cultural resources management activities in Fort Bend County, Texas. The project includes an archaeological survey of a total of approximately 0.93 kilometers (0.58 miles) along Buffalo Bayou between Katy-Flewellen Road and Kingsland Boulevard in Katy, Texas. The archaeological Area of Potential Effects is defined as the maintenance corridor, 30 to 60 meters (98 to 196 feet) long. Raba Kistner, Inc. (RKI), was contracted by the Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) (CLIENT) to conduct archaeological investigations for approximately 7.31-acres located near Arcola, Fort Bend County, Texas, that is proposed to be developed with a high school campus (Figure 1-1). In April 2019, RKI conducted an intensive pedestrian survey with shovel testing of approximately 80-acres immediately east, north, and south of the current 7.31-acre project area (Matthews and Ward 2019). Index of Texas Archaeology: Open Access Gray Literature from the Lone Star State

On March 9 and 10, 2020, archeologist Aaron Norment from AmaTerra Environmental, Inc. (AmaTerra) conducted an intensive archeological survey with shovel testing on three parcels of land for part of the FM 2218 roadway project in Fort Bend County, Texas. This survey is for detention ponds and a segment of outfall line where right of entry was not granted during a prior survey along FM 2218. Total acreage surveyed for the three parcels measures approximately 37 acres. A total of 28 shovel tests were excavated across all three parcels resulting in recording one mid-twentieth century historic house site, 41FB363. Based …
