The 1928 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by J. L. Jenkins. The report on Christian Education suggest that members provide support for the Centennial Fund and Boiling Springs Junior College. The tentative agreement to transition Boiling Springs High School to a junior college was adopted by the Convention with a few amendments. J.B. Davis will take over as president of Boiling Springs Junior College, and J.D. Huggins will become dean. the Commitee on Obituaries reports the passing of Rev. A.H. Sims.
