The two discuss Kaltenborn's impressions of Maine, his career as an author, his visit to a recent NATO conference where spoke with General Eisenhower, Kaltenborn's opinion of world affairs, the situation in Korea, Taft versus Eisenhower as the best Republican candidate for President, and a Steel Strike that had led to suggestions that President Truman should be impeached.
