Photocopy of Civil War journal of Williamson Dixon Ward of Deer Creek, Indiana, who was in the 8th Indiana Cavalry Regiment, Company D. The journal relates his experiences of camp life in Indiana and Kentucky, with the majority of his time being spent in Kentucky – 22 September 1861 to 7 February 1862 and described on pages 8-60.
