I had intended originally to write on another subject and had begun the research. However, in the process of perusing sources available, a related subject captured my interest. The Mormon prophecy relating to the Civil War had been a source of my belief in the efficacy of latter-day revelation. I was under the impression that my Church was extremely interested in current events as indication of the fulfillment of prophecy.
