Autograph album kept by Florra Slinker of Barren County, Kentucky, with entries dating from 1881 to 1902. Besides poems and autographs, the album contains recipes ranging from how to tan skins to how to bake a white cake. It also contains some prescriptions and remedies as well as some genealogical information on the Clark, Reynolds, and Covington families.

Handwritten note of Mary Alice Kimbrough, 8 January 1982, to Dorthy Bailey Johnston, thanking her for a Christmas gift of homemade bread, describing a family holiday reunion, and enclosing handwritten recipes. Ms. Kimbrough, who suffered from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, took great pains with her printing and these recipes and note exhibit her exceptional hand.
