In this article author Nancy Hatch presents a geographical and historical account of the town of Buckfield, Oxford County; Maine, that elaborates a model of center-village development constructed by Joseph Wood in his The New England Village, and a model of connected farm buildings, as constructed by Thomas Hubka in his Big House, Little House, Back House, Barn.
