Two typewritten letters, one from Elizabeth Johnston Cross to Diana Forbes-Robertson and visa versa. Mrs. Cross is recalling a meeting on ship from Europe to the United States and the continuing friendship between her father, James Wright Johnston, and Diana Forbes-Robertson's mother, Gertrude Elliott, later Lady Forbes-Robertson.

Album containing photographs by an unidentified photographer of logging operations in various places in Maine. Images show logging roads and camps, Lombard log haulers, skidways, a tramway at Chamberlain Lake, Shin Pond, and Telos and Webster Dams. Also depicted are railroad stations, Mt. Katahdin, St. Croix Stream and views of the Eastern Manufacturing Company in South Brewer, Maine.

Vaughan Jones was the son of Freeland and Mabel Vaughan Jones of Bangor, Maine. He was a member of the class of 1904 at the University of Maine.
