The 1931 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Zion Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by L. L. Jessup. G.G. Page announced that he will no longer serve as Superintendent of the Kings Mountain Baptist Sunday School Association. The Report on Temperance and Public Morals resolved to oppose gambling and games of chance in the county. The Boiling Springs Junior College Annual Report indicated that the school's football program has been cut due to economy and expense. The Annual Report also asks that the Association's churches put the College in their budget.

The 1930 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Patterson Springs Baptist Church in Patterson Springs, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by Wallace Hartsell. The State Missions report mentioned that the Board took on missionary work with Indians in Robeson County, and the Cherokees in Swain County. The Baptist Young People's Union (B.Y.P.U.) reported continued growth in membership. the Boilign Springs Junior College reported record enrollment growth. The College made arrangements to lease equipment and classrooms, and provide instruction for some high school subjects with the Cleveland County Board of Education.

The Baptist churches of Lawndale and Double Shoals joined the Association. The Committee on Temperance reported that all saloons have been removed from Cleveland County. The Committee on Religious Literature reported that the circulation of Charity and Children has greatly increased, and recommends the distribution of The North Carolina Baptist. State missions have begun an effort to place missionaries in factories. The Baptist Female University will open its doors later this year …
