The first portion of a live broadcast narrated by Irving Hunter of the ceremony held at Bangor Auditorium May 30, 1947 to present the Book of Honor, a volume compiled as a memorial to the 110 men from Bangor who died during World War II. Includes the remarks of City Manager Horace Etsey, Vice Admiral Carleton F. Bryant, Dr. Henry C. Knowlton, and the beginning of the remarks by Senator Owen Brewster.
