Cunningham, Louisville, Kentucky, to her cousin Earle Cunningham. The letter is addressed to Georgia, but Earle appears to be in Florida. Alice teases him with a description of a “Southern beauty” visiting her home and asks him to write with news of his “numerous love affairs” with Southern girls. Finding aid and scan of a portion of a diary (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Collection 564. Diary kept by George Henry Sargent from 1 May 1851 to 10 January 1853. The Harvard student writes on a variety of subjects, including education, religion, historical events, travel, etc. Of particular interest is a three-month sojourn in 1852 with his sister, Lucy Baldwin (Sargent) Rupert in Louisville, Kentucky. While in Kentucky, he also visits Henderson and Mammoth Cave.

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Collection 472. Correspondence, almost exclusively between William Robert Dallas, Sr., and his girlfriend, fiancé, and later wife Virginia “Ginny” Eileen Lindsay. Dallas was in the Army Air Corps and stationed in Louisville, Kentucky, while Ginny was living in her hometown of Ventnor, New Jersey, right outside Atlantic City. The letters are courtship related and are filled with plans for their wedding on 15 September 1945.
