The 2000 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association met at Patterson Baptist Church, in Grover, NC and New Hope Baptist Church, in Earl, NC. The minutes are dedicated to memory of Rev. Rochelle Ray Ingle, Mrs. Jane Monroe Brendle, and Mrs. Mafrey Richard Sesson. The Baptist Counseling Center of Cleveland County was established in August; Dr. Gary McFarland is the counselor. Gardner-Webb is reported to be the fifth largest private university in the state and the Doctorate of Ministry program will begin next fall.

The 1982 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association met at New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, NC and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. The minutes are dedicated in memory of Rev. W. Clyde Bearden. The Christian Life Committee helped organize Citizens for Decency through Law (CDL) to address the issue of businesses that sell pornographic materials in Cleveland County. Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Washburn and Mr. and Mrs. Gaines Washburn donated a computer (TRS-80 Model II) to the Association.

The 1963 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at New Hope baptist Church in Earl, NC. Lawrence Roberts was recognized for his service as Clerk-Treasurer of the Kings Mountain Association as he retired. The Home Mission Board reported continued efforts in Cuba. Gardner-Webb College reported the sad loss of J.R. Dover, Jr. The Baptist Children's Homes added a specialized facility at Chapel Hill for children suffering from mental illnesses. The Woman's Missionary Union celebrated its 75th anniversary.

The 1897 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by A.C. Irvin. The Committee on Education reported that progress towards creating a Female University continues to be successful, and commends the efforts put forth by The Baptist High School of Cleveland Mills. The Committee on Foreign Missions reports that the Southern Baptist Convention has deployed missionaries in China, Mexico, Africa, Brazil, Japan, and Italy.

The introductory sermon was delivered by Elder Thomas Dixon. "A request of the Shiloh Association, (Colored Baptists, who were in session near us,) was handed in asking for Ministerial aid on the Sabbath." The Committee on Education reports that the state association encourages all financial support of education be channeled towards funding Wake Forest College.
