The 2001 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association met at Double Springs Baptist Church and Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The Spring Session met at Camps Creek Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The minutes are dedicated to the memory of Rev. David Edward Lucas, Rev. Billy Daniel "Danny" Ritch, and Rev. H.F. "Bud" Tutherow. It is the 150th anniversary of the Association. Visions of Faith: The Sesquicentennial History of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association 1851-2001 by Lansford Jolley was published. Reflections on the events of September 11th focused on prayer.

The 1972 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association met at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, and Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, NC. Boiling Springs Baptist Church celebrated its 125th anniversary. New Life Baptist Church was accepted as a member of the association.It was reported that Gardner-Webb received accreditation as a Senior College from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and had the largest year for enrollment in the college's history.

The 1957 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Boiling Springs Baptist Church and Gardner-Webb College, both in Boiling Springs, NC. Gardner-Webb college celebrated its Golden Anniversary. The Missionary Sermon was given by Harold House. The Gardner-Webb College report discussed the sad loss of the Huggins-Curtis building. The men of the Brotherhood have become the sponsors of the Royal Ambassadors.

The Home Mission report indicated that the church in Cuba has made progress towards self-support. Soldiers and Seamen still has a great need for missionary effort. Foreign Missions reported that Baptists met at the Longdon Conference of July 1920 to discuss spreading the Gospel in Europe. The 1909 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Cleveland County, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by J.J. Beach. The Second Baptist Church of Shelby and the Church at Flint Hill joined the Association. The Association held a joint session with the Sandy Run Baptist Association. Boiling Springs High School has four literary societies: Kalagathean, Althenian, Minnie Ramsaur, and Kalliergeonian. A library has also been started at the school. The Committee on Obituaries reported the passing of Rev. T. Dixon of New Prospect Church.

The Committee on Temperance reports that members are sending grains and fruits to be stilled, and recommends continued efforts to eliminate the sale, consumption or manufacturing of alcoholic beverages. The Committee on Baptist Orphanage reports that there are 125 children in the Orphanage that need support through food and clothing.

The 1878 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Boiling Springs Church (present day: Boiling Springs Baptist Church) in Boiling Springs, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by A. C. Erwin. Questions were posed to the association on the subject of mourner's benches, anxious seats, and the process of calling to order a Union meeting. In the Committee on Education's report, mention is made of the Boiling Springs Academy, the Shelby Male and Female High School, and the Baptist Female College. The Abstract of Principles, Rules of Decorum, and Constitution are included in the minute book.
