The 1971 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association met at Casar Baptist Church in Casar, NC and New Bethel Baptist Church in Lawndale, NC. J. Marse Grant noted that the Biblical Recorder had the higest circulation in its 138 year history. Gardner-Webb College awarded its first Baccalaurate degrees and have building plans for the Dover Memorial Library, the J.R. Dover, Jr. Memorial Chapel, an addition to Webb Hall, and a dermitory named after Mr. Hubert Maxton Craig, Sr.

The 1959 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Fallston Baptist Church in Fallston, NC and New Bethel Baptist Church in Lawndale, NC. Memorial given for Rev. Frank Lattimore who died in a car accident. Rogers M. Smith gave the missionary message. The Women's Ministry Union reported on the success of their first Girls' Auxiliary Camp. It was proposed in the Historian Report that a museum for church history be created. A new radio station called "Master Control" was being added.

Voters in North Carolina voted to enforce Prohibition statewide on May 26, 1908. The Boiling Springs High School Board of Trustees reported that the construction of the school building has been completed.

The 1887 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at New Bethel Church (present day: New Bethel Baptist Church) in Lawndale, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by J.D. Huffman. The Association appointed a new committee to manage the distribution of the Bible and other Baptist religious publications to its constituents.The Association continues to hold a vested interest in supporting students financially in achieving their education. The Shelby Female College has appointed E. J. Willis as the new principal upon the retirement of R. D. Mallory. The issue of ministerial support continues to be of concern.
