The United States hung in the balance for these four crucial years and the battles and campaigns would decide the future of the nation. The Valley Campaign in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 1864 was a crucial campaign that helped decide the fate of the war and the nation.

Concludes that this period of Pacific reconstruction after World War II was one of the greatest achievements for the United States and the Allied Powers following the war.
